I hope someone can tell me what these levels mean. The doctor

told me that she is going to be consulting with a metabolic doctor at

the University of Illinois. Until then, I am having difficulty finding

anything on-line, well...anything I can understand the terminology.

Isocitric Acid: 175 Norm: 4-125

Citric Acid: 703 Norm: 120-675

Methylcitric Acid: 6 Norm: less than 5

Glycocitric Acid: 262 Norm: less than 237

Thanks,

Liz

Hi Liz,

What is the lab you used?

Was it working with quinticile measures at all?

Is it broken up into groups and the names you provided are within

those groups?

Does it say if info is needed the doctor should call the lab?

The blood was drawn at a hospital and sent out. There had to be a

speicfic amount of urine for the test to be performed. Then it had to

be sent out and frozen (or vice versa) and then sliced to be looked at

under a microscope.

I have not gottena copy of the test result yet. I will get them

tomorrow.

I believe it has to do with the citric acid cycle and how it is broken

down and absorbed (or not absorbed).

The doctor will be consulting with a metabolic doctor. There is only

one in Illinois.
