Guest guest
Oh, I like this poem. It explains how I feel every day........Joyce ----- Original Message ----- From: shelly smiegal Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Friday, February 25, 2005 5:33 AM Subject: Re: any thoughts ,other ideas ? Harolod ? Shell ? anyone ? I love being in pain It's so much fun For a crippling disease It sure keeps you on the run! I love having to live On medication for pain And pred for swelling Has brought me nothing but gain! The drs are so nice You'd swear they know the key To making us all better Not just replacing a knee! But for now, I sit and wait As the pain increases, but not the meds And crawling out of bed each day Doesn't bring anything but dread I look forward to the day When people know I am really sick And try to really help me And not expect me to heal quick So this is my song of daily release As I sit in my recliner Just covered in fleece To have just a week Of feeling like I once had And thinking that life Really isn't so bad Where angels of mercy Arrive every day To wash me and dress me The old fashioned way And friends care enough To stop by to say hey And this body stops fighting me Each step of the way So when I get to heaven At the pearly gates I receive A whole new body Without any disease And we can all be together Where we can dance and sing And rise each morning without the pain this RA brings! Love, Shel ~Psalm
