You don't want bifidus in a yogurt starter. You only want the two strains that coagulate the milk -- L. Bulgaricus and S. Thermophilus. And often yogurt starters will also include L. Acidophilus, which is good.

So, don't get any bifidus strains.

S. Boulardii is an optional probiotic. Some people do well with it, others do not.

Ok, now, I went to buy a yogurt starter and got confused. Is it the bifidus we don't want or the boulardii we don't want.Liz (easily confused)
