It works great for some people and not for others - so pay attention to cramping

symptoms, etc.

I had been seeing a naturopath in late Summer, and the first thing he had me on

was a

supplement with l-glutamine. Of course, that supplement and most of the other

stuff he

had me on were not SCD-legal... Since starting SCD, I've been working with the

Hoffman

Center, and they cleared my shelf of illegals, but again the first thing they

gave me was l-

glutamine.

So far only taking it once per day in the morning, but we'll see what changes

when all the

test results come back. Still early for me - only been doing SCD for about a

month, and

only cut out all of the illegal supplements and essentially started over about 2

weeks ago.

Still, feeling better than I have for the several months previous!

thank you - oh so excited to hear!!! I am taking a lot more than you -

hope it's ok - this is pure glutamine powder - nothing in it - I did

see the other stuff on the shelves and had to tell the compounding

pharm that I can't move onto those next- they all had at least aloe

vera in them and tons of illegals I'm sure - but pure, I hope it does

the trick-thanks eileen

Eileen

You probably know by now that my body doesn't tolerate much. But just as a comparison, when I take L. Glutamine I take one capsule, which is probably about 1 scoop or maybe even half a scoop, once every 4 days. I only took L. Glutamine regularly during the first two years on SCD. Now my maintenance dose of L. Glutamine is one capsule every month, or when I start noticing an increase in food sensitivities.

As always, go by your body's signals. It sounds like your body tolerates a whole lot more than mine, but I just wanted to share my dosage to give you a range of options.
