Guest guest
Firstly, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I guess that in a positive frame of mind, at least you are here and well for your 2 children and your dh, although I know the pain that you feel. Have you had a second opinion on this, or do you feel deep down that this is the only (if not the best) course of action? , Thank you....I actually have 3 living children, after we lost my daughter due to my rupture, we have now a 1 year old through surrogacy. Although she doesn't replace my Hannah, she does bring some happiness to us!!! I have had second and third opinions, so I do feel at this point I really need to do this. Guest guest
, It is so difficult to know what to write after reading such a sad story. Firstly, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Have you had a second opinion on this, or do you feel deep down that this is the only (if not the best) course of action? Sometimes the hardest decisions are made for us, and I hope that whatever happens from here your family will remain strong. I will certainly be thinking of you. Guest guest
, Welcome to our group. Before you make any decisions for a hysterectomy, please read Lee's story. Go to the files section, click on "our stories" then Lee's success story. It's quite long but may help you in your decision and also to see that there is hope sometimes when others tell you differently. Also, I saw your post to offering help with surrogacy. We have a sub group called SurroAsher group which some members of this group have joined to discuss surrogacy only. If you are interested in joining this group to give some support, then you are very welcome. I'm sure you have lots to share with these women. Let me know and Roxie can send you an invite to join as she is moderator of this group. Thank you for sharing Hannah's site. I think it is wonderful that you could share this with us here. I know how comforting it was to be able to share anything about my sons when I lost them. Poly
Guest guest
Hi , welcome here, hope you are going to get some peace of mind about your medical situation with our help after your tragic story! One wouldn´t believe that such happens in the 21st century ... Have you been given ANY explanation re your rupture during delivery? A hysterectomy is not only a matter of your uterus but affects your whole body. Newest research findings suggest that our endometrium is sending hormones to other organs, so a hysterectomy would also stop these benefits for parts of your body that have got nothing to do with your fertility. Many docs suggest a hysterectomy because there is no other idea of what to do. So it is very important to see other docs and specialists before jumping at such a drastic decision. What reasons are there to do a hysterectomy despite not being able to carry another pregnancy (this itself of course is not enough reason)? What stage of AS do you have? Have you had an HSG or hyst to determine it? We are here to answer many more questions, I know I have asked many myself, but it will help to understand your situation better and then we can offer better advice.
