Guest guest
Hi Dottie :-) Dr. Franco strongly recommends that all who can, have the mycoplasma tests prior to starting the AP. It can really come in handy when the insurance company starts to get nasty about paying your medical claims. Don't worry if it comes out negative, though. It doesn't mean that you *don't* have an infection. It just means that it may not have been detectable at the time of the test. The doctors who really know and understand Dr. Brown's theory will prescribe the antibiotics based on your symptoms and bloodwork. In my case.....my bloodwork was all in the normal range until my CPK level later elevated (CPK measures muscle damage and I have a rheumatic muscle disease called dermatomyositis) and my mycoplasma test (PCR variety) was negative......but I had already started the AP so I will probably never know which one or ones that I have. At this point, it doesn't matter because I am doing very well and even my CPK is in the normal range. It would have been nice to know, though. Good luck to you and here's to your improving health! Shouldyou have a test to detect mycoplasma before starting AP? If comes backnegative, does it do any good to start AP? Thanks.Dottie, CREST
