Guest guest
Dear Deborah, how lucky you both were to have each other. Would you mind if I borrowed Andy's wordless hug next Monday? He will be in my pocket....and I just bet he will know it. THANK YOU THANK YOU Deborah. Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body - but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming " WO W - What a Ride!" Trisha -- Re: Trisha on Monday Janet and Trisha, I'll be thinking of you both on Monday. You'll get through it fine. Let me tell you about my friend that went to my 1st chemo with me. His name was Andy and we worked together (in a hospital, I might add). Andy was 46 years old with teenaged children. Andy had colon cancer and was terminal from the time of his diagnosis about 8 months before my breast cancer diagnosis. And he was so sick, but he came to work. I happened to run into him in the hallway right after my first biopsy and I already knew it was cancer from feeling it. I had teared up, something I was trying despirately not to do before I got to my office and privacy. Andy saw my tears and wordlessly hugged me. He was one of the first people I told what was happening. About two weeks later I was scheduled for my first chemo, and who showed up to sit with me and be my strength? Andy whose illness was an mountain that he had no hope of climbing, and he was holding my hand and giving me his strength. Andy passed away a couple of months later while I was in the hospital. Where ever he is now, I pass his blessing and his strength and my strength on to you both. You will survive. Deborah aka Deborah Page deborah_ann_page@... Guest guest
I promise, that if there is a way he can help he will. I bless his memory every day and envy his courage. Since I'll be sitting in my recliner Monday at 930EST, I will be sending you all good thoughts and positive energy. Don't be afraid to look around the room. You will find that there are more strong willed, good humored, and thank people than you find in rooms full of well people. Deborah aka Deborah Page deborah_ann_page@...
