I have several thoughts to share with you about this as I am developing

SCD travel with Diane Distefano who's daughter is SCD and so am I. I

have talked with Bob from " Bob and Ruth's Gluten Free Travel and Dining

Club " (http://www.bobandruths.com/) and he was not willing to take on

the responsibility of SCD on top of gluten free. He felt that gluten

free was hard enough for him to achieve. But you have to remember he

was responsible for sometimes a hundred people on a cruise. They seem

to go all over the world and have a great time. They also so some

weekend excursions.

I have considered trying to go on a GF trip with Bob but as of yet have

not. He would only guarentee the GF part and the rest was on my own.

I would suggest that you make a card of what you can have on one side

and can't haves on the other. There is a free on at SCDIET.com. I got

one but it still had things that I could not tolerate and omited things

that I can have. It is a good guidline to start, but do your own. Then

it will be just perfect for you.

Another tip is if you go somewhere, be prepared by having some of your

own favorite foods to fall back on. The worst thing is to be somewhere

and hungry with nothing healing to eat.

I wish you all the best and will be posting some SCD travel updates as

soon as we nail down the resort (for a weekend get away).

pay attention to the gf and then take it one step further GF? This is

my dilemma. When going to a hotel do I specify GF? In the past I have

told them grain free, sugar free and starch free, along with being

restricted.
