Guest guest
A few days ago Aizaeen had a soda question regarding a solution to missing soda. Here's the original post: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/BTVC-SCD/message/10440 I suggested making your own rootbeer from sassafras root bark as I had once done. I couldn't find any BTVC literature at the time preventing it, so I gave it a shot. I didn't feel any adverse reactions, but now I'm having second thoughts given a new perspective: Rootbeer is a bark tea that happens to be sweetened and carbonated. Elaine explicitly advised SCDers to not use the bark tea Pau D'Arco. www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/bark_tea.htm Sassafras root bark may be completely different, but I think it would be wise to either avoid it completely or use it with caution.
