Guest guest
Hi there all, New to this group. I have UC (4 years or so) Just started the SCD two days ago. I ordered the yogourmet and am planning on getting the dimmer switch -- thanks for that piece of advice. I have always avoided dairy even though I have never been truly tested to see if I am sensitive to it; just never felt great if I used the milk, softer cheeses although I have successfully eaten butter, soy cheese, protein bars, etc. all of which I know had casein and/or whey in them. So the yogurt experience will be a good test to see how I can tolerate things. I do have a question re: the diet (actually I am sure I have lots of questions but will start with just this one!) In a book by Scala (The New Eating Right for a Bad Gut) he states that one should stay away from red meat and yet on this diet it is one of the first foods allowed. Anyone have any comment on that??? Of course there are numerous differences between his guide and BTVC but this one just stood out for me. That's it for now...thanks
