Welcome to our group. We have a few members in the group that don't know from where they got their ashermans, so you are not alone. As you got pregnant at a very early age, you may not remember how your periods were before getting pregnant. I was just thinking if any scarring was caused at the birth of your son. Do you know if your periods were lighter after that?

You are lucky in that your scarring is just above the cervix. This is probably not going to cause you much problems if any in getting pregnant. Even though your doctor never mentioned Ashermans syndrome, intrauterine synechiae is another word for it so basically you probably do have it, but just a milder form.

Hope your hysteroscopy results are good and that you are free of scarring. I think you already said that your HSG showed you are clear of scarring in your uterus. Do you know what your endometrium measurement is? This will help you understand how thick your lining is. Also, what are your periods like? Are they as before Ashermans??

Please ask the group any questions. We are all here for you.

Poly

P.s - keep us informed on what your doctor tell you at your next appt.

Welcome from San ,

I am down at the bottom of the state in San Clemente.

I just wanted to welcome you and say that I'm glad that you are

already on a good path to recovery. You are way ahead of most new

members.

I know that this past year has been a rollercoaster for you and you

are among friends here. So if you have questions ask away.

I would suggest that you spend some time looking through the files,

database and links. They are loaded with information. I have been a

member here since January and still refer back to them for questions.

Knowledge is the power with AS!

Welcome again and good luck!

Dear , welcome to our group. I am glad you found us but sorry you have to be here.

You are indeed lucky to be living so close to Dr Indman. He is the man for you to see and I'm sure that if you have any chance of your uterus getting back to normal, you can be sure he is the one for this job. Be sure to let him know that this group has recommended him to you. It always helps, both you and the group.

You are very kind to offer help to members of this group who will be travelling to Dr Indman. I think there are a few members who are and hope they get in touch with you if they need to.

Let us know how your surgery goes.

navdeep,

i am not from california, but i do believe that there is a doctor indman there somewhere. is that who you are seeing? have you checked the A-list on the ashermans site. i found a specialist near me using that list. good luck. i would suggest going for the best to start out. there are alot of success stories. actually, i have not read a bad story. i have had ashermans for almost 7 years, but i was in the military, not able to see a specialist, i did have a couple of surgeries to remove adhesions, but the doctors were not knowledgeable with ashermans so i did not get alot of support or info. about it all. if you have any more questions, just post them and you will see that these women have answers for everything.

good luck,

Navdeep,

Welcome. I am sorry that we have to meet this way, but rest assured

that you will enjoy your time with us.

There are 2 or 3 A list doctors in CA, where do you live?

You can view the A list doctors by clicking on the database tab on

the left.

I would also suggest that you browse through the files tab as well as

the links tab, there is tons of information!

If you have questions, ask away, that's what we are here for.

Hello, Debbie, thank you for responding to my questions. Can you please email me the site to go to get to the database? I am having a hard time finding it. I live in Benicia near Walnut Creek.

Stacie,

It is often worth seeing an A list surgeon if it is an option for you purely

because they are know what they are looking at and what to look for.

That said I was also told recently that I have no endometrium by one of our A

list surgeons and have just finished my 1st period in almost 3 years, what I

am trying to say is don't write anything off yet.

Glad you got here in the end, must apologise think I was responsible for the

delay.

Best Wishes

Lesia

I also had a totally scarred shut uterus " totally obliterated cavity "

and the doctor said he saw so little endo that if I didn't get a

period after my first hysterscopy that I should pursue adoption or

surrogacy.

I am still trying. I have had a second hyst. with a A list doctor and

he has been much more hopeful. I am far from a success story, but I

truly believe that we should all do what we feel is right, and if

that is try again, we should. I do think that you should at least

get a second opinion -- even if you decide not to pursue it. And if

you are lucky enough to be near a A list doctor or can get to one, it

might make sense. Or get to at least another doctor in your area who

knows about asherman's. Good luck,

Stacie,

Welcome to our group. I'm glad you feel some hope after joining our group. If your problem is the lining thickness only, then you may need to take some estrogen for a while to see if your lining manages to thicken. But are you sure that your RE got rid of all the scarring?? Perhaps that is why he could not see any lining? Is going to an A list a possibility for you? If so, then consider at least a phone consult or going to see one to see what your options are. Remember, having a surgery again if you have no scarring left in your uterus, will not help your lining grow back. We have seen some incredible stories in this group of women who were told they have no lining left and yet their periods resumed!! Lesia is a very recent story. You can read back on the archives.

Remember, we are all here to help you and please forward your questions to us. Also, if you have not sent through your profile yet, please do so because this is the only way we can keep up with your story. If you don't have this quesitonnaire, then I can resend it to you again. Just let me know.

Welcome to our group which is sadly growing by the day. Have you decided where you are going for a second opinion? I hope you find the best doctor you can and if at all possible, perhaps you could ask an A list doctor for a consultation?

If you are having normal periods, then my guess is that your lining is not harmed. Are you sure you have ashermans? Or perhaps it is very mild?? I wonder if our ob/gyn should have used a balloon when he removed your septum so as to avoid your uterine walls from joining.

Some of the best Canadian doctors we have heard about in this group are Dr Leyland and Dr Vilos. There are quite a few Canadian members so I hope they can give you some advise on who they have gone to, especially those in Ontario.

If you have not send me your profile questionnaire yet, can you please send it asap because we are preparing the latest profile and I would like to add you to the list also.

Do ask the group any questions you feel you need answering. I'm sure someone will email you soon with an answer.

Hi Caroline,

Welcome to the group, though I must say I wish I never got to say that.

Where in the UK are you?

Which hospital treated you?

Most of us UK members have ended up going out o Germany for treatment as the

Doctor out there is amazing and it is a lot cheaper than you might think.

I believe a is the only one of us who has been happy with her

treatment in the UK and I am sure she'll be in touch.

Any questions or if you just need to winge....
