Guest guest
, Welcome to the group, sorry you're here. I know how frustrating it is to not have an A-list near. You may want to read up on some insurance posts from members who've gotten (through vigorous fighting) approval to see a specialist on the A-list. Also, you mentioned that your insurance company will cover $6000 of infertility care. My experience is that Asherman's is NOT considered infertility treatment for insurance purposes. Again, you need to make sure the diagnosis is listed as Asherman's, but there are medical reasons to treat it regardless of fertility. You may have another possible fight on your hand, but try not to use the 6000 on this. Ask questions if you need more help. My case began as a mild one as diagnosed at the first surgery, but symptoms returned and the next time it was severe. The second doctor couldn't get the scar tissue in the upper uterus out. I did not have an A or B list for these surgeries, so I will from now on!! It actually may save you money in the number of surgeries and in future fertility costs to seek the help of someone who has experience. For insurance purposes, it's not definitely not infertility, it's a medical disease, but you might need to remind your doctor to label it that way. Guest guest
, Could you have had an infection at some point that caused the scarring? We do have some cases where this has been known. Others had an abortion years ago which got forgotten about and then realised that this could have been the cause. But we do have a few cases where there is no known explanation. The severity of your ashermans will only really be known when your doctor goes inside to view it. I guess one way to find out if he is competent enough is to ask him how many Ashermans surgeries he does in a year. If he says a few or 3 or 4 then it is likely that he is not going to be that well competent. If he does hundreds like Dr Indman, Dr March, Dr Palter, or Dr Valle, then you can be sure that he is quite competent. My recommendation for a second opinion was to go and see one of these top specialists that I mentioned above. Did you check the A list of doctors? Are there none near Florida? I'm not from the US so I don't know how near or far they are from you. Anyway, if your decision is to stick to your original doctor, then who knows, he may be able to clear your uterus and we may have another doctor which you could recommend for the B list. Good luck in your decision and please keep us updated on your situation. Poly

Guest guest
Welcome ! That's great that you have hit 200 even. I hope to join you this year. You certainly are doing a lot of things right. I'm Jinx, 49, mother to Gavin, 8. New Member Hi, My name is Holgate and I am from Boise Idaho. In July of last year, I quit my job, broke up with my boyfriend of three years, and decided it was time to get healthy. I purchased a membership at Golds Gym (which I LOOOVVVEEE) and also have a personal trainer through them, which I couldn't live with out. My starting weight was 219.5 and I am now at 200 even as of today!! I am hoping this group will give me a little bit of a jump start, and I am hoping that I can offer some insight (I took a nutrition class this semester and loved it). I am also 19 and a sophomore (well in two days when finals are over) at Boise State University. I also enjoy scrapbooking and watching movies. Thanks!! Guest guest
Hi Welcome to WLB!!!!! Congrats on the 19.5lbs already lost, thats great. There is lots of great info in some of the back posts. And you will get tons of support in here. Are you drinking plenty of water? A good rule of thumb is to halve your weight, then that is the amount in ounces you should be drinking, though more if you exercise, which I see you do. :-) Great to meet you, I'm Sue H. 54, married for 35yrs on 1st June, 2 grown kids, no longer at home. 152lbs, Have been heavier and lighter. lol. Just jump right in and let us know how you're getting on. Good luck with your finals. Hugs Sue H. ===== Anything that knocks you off track does so because you have allowed it to. __________________________________________________ Yahoo! Guest guest
Theresa, Hi! Welcome to WLB, the most supportive and informative group on the net for wight loss! If you are looking for support and motivation, you found the right place! I am Sharon, a 31 yo SAHM of two school aged kids, and I am on the path to losing about 80 pounds. You won't find any quick fixes here, you will find that what we all have in common, although we follow different plans or are designing our own plan, we all are trying to eat better, drink more water, and exercise 3-5 times a week. Some are following Atkins, others use Weight Watchers, some are using low fat, but we are all drinking lots of water (right everyone? ;-)) making better food choices, and walking, running, swimming, weight training, or some other exercising our way to our goals...good luck with yours, hope to see you posting often! Theresa, I so agree with you because I was the same way and thought I was chubby, but now I would kill to be that amt, cause it would be past my goal so that would be super cool... I am doing good on workouts but going to weight watchers to eat right to keep the pounds coming over consistently.... just wanted to share.. Robyn So much to do in so little time. Guest guest
Theresa, I know exactly what you mean! At 16, I thought I was SO disgustingly fat in sizes 7/9... now I would kill to wear a 7 again! I'm Jette in Raleigh, NC. I am 30, mom to age 10, and wife of Chris. My highest weight has been 300 disgusting pounds! I am currently down to 262, shedding them slowly but surely. This is a great group, with lots of friendly and motivating people! Just reading posts each day helps me keep my mind on track, so I don't " forget " my goals. I am sure you will enjoy being here. Jette ----- Original Message ----- > Hi, I am a new member to this group. I am looking for some support in my quest to lose about 50 or more pounds. It's amazing how your weight loss goals can snowball! Back when I was 16 and 140 lbs, I thought I was fat and wanted to lost weight. Now I would give anything to be back at that size! I don't eat too badly, but do enjoy food, so a really strict diet is not for me. I know my problem area - the dreaded EXERCISE. I get so bored!
