Guest guest
Hi Baden, I just checked my book and the 12th edition has turnips in both the 'allowed' and 'not allowed' lists. Under the 'not allowed' list it says they "may be tried after considerable improvement". To ask Iain to update the site, you can email him at iain@.... Kim H. husband, , CD 1999, SCD 2002 Hi folks, In researching my radish question, I noticed that in two places on the BTVC site, it says: "In the most recent printing of BTVC (Ninth Printing - May 2002), turnips were moved from the 'allowed' list to the 'not allowed' list." I have the 12th Edition (January 2007) and it has turnips in the allowed list. How can I submit this as a potential website update? (Though I find the rest of the info at http://www.breaking theviciouscycle. info/knowledge_ base/kb/turnips. htm extremely helpful and hope it stays in.) Guest guest
Turnips were taken off because some people had trouble with them. So it's a question of individual reaction again.MaraHi Baden,I just checked my book and the 12th edition has turnips in both the 'allowed' and 'not allowed' lists. Another problem is the type of turnip. The legal turnips were the small white ones. People started using all kinds of big, fibrous ones, and they had trouble. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
