Nope. You can substitute butternut squash for pumpkin if you aren't able to find any. That's weird though. The grocery stores should have them this time of year.Kim H.

Use butternut or buttercup squash for pumpkin pie filling - yummy.

If I recall correctly canned "pumpkin" is actually

butternut or kabocha squash, not actual pumpkins.

they had them - now they're gone - may try the farm - don't like squash
