Guest guest
Hi , I am unfamiliar with Dr 's protocol and I want to read about it since I have shot Adrenals as well. So, I cannot comment exactly on those supplements but generally what we SCD'ers do is we get many medications and supplements compounded to be SCD compliant. I use Hopewell Pharmacy in NJ as they are very familiar with SCD compliance. Guest guest
If you're talking about T-3, I am not able to get cytomel (T-3), but I am on a small amount of natural thyroid compounded at a pharmacy here in Canada. It is porcine-based and is slow release. I'd be on T-3, if I could get it. I used to be able to. However, the compounded product is helping me. I've been on SCD for over 8 months and I've noticed a difference in how my adrenals feel and my ability to tolerate stress. I need to eat every 2 to 2.5 hours--about six times a day. Avocadoes and other good fats make a significant difference for me (almond oil, ghee, a little nut butter). I stay away from dairy, honey, and other foods which might cause me more hypoglycemic reactions. For me, sugars and carbs are not the only foods which cause reactions. So I'm sticking to a basic list of foods which my body does well on, until more healing takes place. all the best, Louise MCS, ME/CFS, FM--severely ill since 1973 food sensitivities and candida scd--Feb. 25/08 Vancouver Island, BC, Canada > > What happens when your adrenals are really shot and you have to take the Dr. > protocol to heal your adrenals and they have fillers in them?..has > anyone taken these and with what if any side effects and have they helped?
