Guest guest
Hi , Here is my take on this problem. I had to take 6MP to get off the Prednisone. I started with 50mgs and went to 25mgs. I don't like to take meds, but it was essential to go to work. The meds help you get to work but I believe the only help mask our problems. The good they do today might come back to bite us in the end.LOL(sorry) So if you must take meds, stick to the diet 100%. Any cheating or eating of to advanced foods that you do, only slow your healing time. This I know first hand, I fell on my face so many times I lost count. Someone once wrote, that they were as 100% on the diet as possible, and after every (scheduled) flair, that the flairs seemed less violent and not lasting as long. This was the same for me. As far as Meds go, I was on 9 Asacol aday and it did nothing for me. Come to find out from Lucy at Lucy's Kitchen, That Elaine hated that drug because the protective coating let the drug slip by our digestive tract and open up in the lower intestines. The problem was the illegal ingredients had no chance of getting broken down by our system and would deliver a full dose of food to the bad bugs in our lower system. Today, thanks to the diet, I can live a normal life. Hope this helps.
