Guest guest
Hi . I have been using frozen berries for all my cooking since starting on SCD, because fresh berries go moldy very quickly, and I'm very allergic to molds. With frozen berries, it is imperative to read the package label, to be sure that no sugar has been added. On weekends, my husband buys fresh berries at the farmer's market, but we usually have to eat or freeze them within 1 day, for them to be safe for me to eat. I've made Raman Prasad's blueberry muffins several times. I don't have tins of mini-muffin cups, so I use regular sized ones, but I still get excellent results. I have only ever made these muffins with frozen wild (small) blueberries, but I might follow your example and make them with frozen raspberries. Guest guest
Eileen If you're nuts, I don't want to think about what I am <grin>. I'm 17 months into the diet and I still can't eat berries (or nuts). But I'm going forward none the less (two steps forward, one back) and that's what counts. Patience! :-) Gitte Denmark CD 30y > > > > I just made the blueberry muffin recipe from Raman Prasad's latest > > book. I did not have any blueberries so I used frozen raspberries. Guest guest
Sorry Eileen!!!! I am responding very well and very quickly to the diet. I did not have and do not have UC, the big D or C when I started. Within 5 days of starting the diet, I felt so much better. I was also GFCF for 8 weeks prior to SCD and I'm taking tons of supplements for intestinal healing from my doc. I give you all sooooooooooooo much credit for sticking it out. This is very difficult for me.

Guest guest
that's the million dollar question - why did the scopes show nothing and I don't feel great ????? i am better since the l-tyrptophan and glutamine so i'm guessing maybe the doc was right with hyper- sensitive insides ???? or just feeling better???? - today i'm a bit off - even off is not bad but fear of making it worse is extreme!!!! i did try some beth's pumpkin pie tonight - hoping i'll be ok with it so I can enjoy it thanksgiving night -it has double almond milk in it 1st time for me-so we shall see eileen 10 months scd > >> > >> Sorry Eileen!!!!
