It may take a couple of tried to get the yogurt right. Re-read the directions carefully. Are you using a yogurt maker? You can also try dripping the yogurt, as described in BTVC under " cream cheese " . I put it in the fridge to drain though, an keep turning it over as it drains. This yields a very sweet, creamy, result.

HTH,

Sonya

I am trying to start the diet and am wondering if vegetable broth canbe substituted for the beef and chicken broth. I do eat fish, so ihave been doing that. Also, i made my first batch of yogurt and it is gross, i guess it

makes the dry curd cottage cheese a little easier to stomach, but theyare both pretty sour tasting. Did i do something wrong?

It's tart because all the sugar has been eaten off by the bacteria.

It's more tart if you start with starter rather than with dannon or fage

yogurt. You may get used to the taste eventually. Lots of us love

it, the tarter the better. But it can be an acquired taste for some.

You can add a drop of honey to it. Or eat with some very ripe banana

or other fruits as you progress through the diet.

But start the yogurt very slowly in the beginning of the diet as it is

very

strong.
