Well they say things come in threes don't they, so that's Alison, Cerys and

myself with dead machines. So hopefully I've not put the curse on any one else.

Well just to update you all the man's been out and tells me that the programme

chip has gone on the blink. He's gonna go and price one up but it could be

anything between 50 and 150 quid plus fitting it!!. The machine only cost 200

quid brand new back last Easter. Unfortunately the shop I bought it from has

closed down:-(

Daft reaaly before that for the past 14 years I had this scabby looking

reconditioned machine which never gave me any trouble until the motor died and I

decided to treat us to a new one. Well I was about to have a baby and think of

all that extra washing.

One thing the chappy noticed was that the thermostat was attached to the

coldwater inlet and the pipes were the wrong way around inside the machine.

Which meant that our clothes were constantly being washed and rinsed in very hot

water. Ahh I thought that's why our gas bill has gone up over 100 quid in the

last year!!

So hopefully tomorrow I will know a price for the repair so can make up my mind

as to whether or not I'm gona have it mended or replace it.

We have a Bosch, which are apparently the heaviest washing machines on the

market. I doubt very much that my " man " will be able to move it by himself

tomorrow, so not much chance of me doing it. And it doesn't spin *at all*!

Alison

Are you able to drain by taking the hose out of the outlet at the back? This

is how I drain off when I`ve forgotten to clean out the filter (oops)...then

another spin sometimes clears it enough to open the door,
