Guest guest
Hi Ann, I don't know the details but if you head over to PecanBread's Yahoo group and ask some questions regarding vaccines and ways to get out of vaccination.. That's the place to ask. I want vaccines to be safe and green until that point I am weary of them! Many Pharma's make such incredible amounts of money in this arena- it would be really nice to have an independent group with no monetary and political ties that would truly investigate this serious issue. One of the issues with vaccines is the metal based preservatives like thimoresol (sp?) when this was looked at as being problematic and questions came back as to the safety- Pharma companies just pulled those vaccines of the shelf in Western countries (although many places still use them) and donated it to 3rd world countries and China. In the process they got a tax deduction. During this time it was really when the Chinese first starting seeing their country plagued by the Autism epidemic. I think this warrents a serious multi-faceted investigation. There are so many links behind ASD, ADD and IBD that sometimes I wonder if Crohn's or Colitis is like an " Autism of the Gut " I would approach a vaccine with extreme caution. Ann, I am a dentist and a pharmacist as well as a mother of twin 10 year old boys. I researched the vaccine/ autism link when my boys were to get their MMR ( measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine when they were small because I was scared for them. From what I read, children, because of their immature neurological systems, are at greater risk--there are several variables--one is a genetic risk--autism runs in families. Two, mothers who had a measles booster shot in their late teens, early twenties had children who possibly were more likely to develop autism after the MMR. Third, triple vaccines were more likely to cause the problem such as MMR--combined for ease of administration- rather than a simple one vaccine, such as polio. Some of these children are already born with a titer of MMR in their blood because Mom was boostered in early adulthood. Now, perhaps some things have changed since I researched, but my gut feeling ( pardon the pun) is that your vaccine at your tender age of 43 will not affect you in a negative way. You have a mature neurologic system and mature immune system ( even though UC has been postulated to be autoimmune in nature, you still have a mature, functioning immune system) You already have been vaccinated with measles and have the antibodies in your blood--the booster is meant to do just that--boost your immune response to measles if you are ever challenged by the virus. But, you probably already have full immunity to measles. You can have a blood test to see if you have an adequate titer of antibodies in your blood and if so, can use that as your argument to not have the booster. Guest guest
I agree with Jodi. Heavy metal toxicity (from amalgams, seafood and environmental exposure) affects the gut and immune systems and is often associated with autism, candida and gut problems. A vaccine not only has live virus but other excipients, things like aluminum (also neurotoxic and potentially reactive with any mercury you may have in your body) and sometimes MSG (linked with obesity). There is speculation that Gulf War Syndrome is partly tied to the many vaccinations the soldiers receive.
