I asked for a flexible schedule, but they said that my job is so important I have to be at work no later than 10 AM. And if I can't, then I'm not qualified for my job, and therefore not entitled to protection under the ADA. They also say I can't take sick days for my symptoms, because that means I can't work because of my disability, and therefore I'm not qualified for the job. None of this sounds fair, and I'll have to consult some sort of expert on my behalf. But after 20 years on the job, I feel short changed. Any advice would be most welcome. trying to smile -

Hi ,

Sometimes the ADA is a two-edged sword and it can be swung back at you, as your bosses are doing. You need to get some lawyer-ly advice and soon.
