" It doesn't taste tangy. " is the key here. If it

isn't tangy, you didn't get the lactose out, hence, while it may be just

fine for non-SCDers, it's probably not safe for you. Give it to a

friend.

Hi Cecilia,

How hot did it get?

Kim H.

I made a batch of yogurt a few days ago that got too hot during the night. I let it finish for 24 hours and put it in the fridge. It doesn't taste tangy. Can I use this for something? Make yogurt cheese for example?

thanks

Hello!

I don't know how hot it was during the night, when I went to bed it was at a nice even 104 F but when I got up the termometer said 118 F. I took the pot away from the heating pad (in a box and under a blanket) and put the termometer into the yogurt - then it was 114 F. I am guessing that was as hot as it got.

The yogurt doesn't taste tangy, but is otherwise smooth.
