They're legal as long as the form you take have no illegal ingredients.

However they help with joint pain and inflammation. Not sure they

would be too helpful with a torn ligament. Couldn't do any harm,

unless your body is like mine and reacts badly to glucosamine and

chondroitin.

Follow your doctor's advice, however.

I found that NOW vitamins have this made with vegeterian instead of shellfish. I talked to people and htey told me it didnt help them. But MSM is an option, so I might just stick to that..thanks for you input
