Hi ,

There is a chart that will help you determine in what order to introduce new foods at http://www.pecanbread.com/new/scdfoods1.html#beyond It is meant to be used as a guideline. Everyone is very different but this will at least give you a place to start.

It is also recommended that you keep a journal of what food you introduced, when and it's effects.

Hope you feel better soon.

Best wishes,

Another question is do I have to wait until fruits andvegetables are introduced before I introduce almond flour baked goods?

I am so late in responding, but I want to say Thank You! I am three weeks into

the diet, and for me it seems to be 3 steps back, 2 steps forward. I keep

looking at the positives and really do feel so emotionally strong for doing

this! Thanks to all for this listserv. It is a great gift. I appreciate

having support from others with these " non-visable " disabilities!

Thanks (with tears in my eyes)

Hi ,

That's completely normal for SCD - I'm still getting that over a year

in. Non-linear

healing.

Although it may seem like three steps back and two steps forward, I think

you'll find, over time, that it's the other way around. Progress is ever

so much slower than any of us would like. What we all want is to wave a

magic wand and sing " Bibbity bobbety boo! " and have the rotten

ailment go away.

It doesn't work that way, but SCD is a healing diet, and improvement does

happen. It's like the day I went shopping at a mall, and realized I

wasn't hunting for every restroom, so I could sprint to it when the

urgency hit. Or the month that I realized I'd had " trophies "

all month -- and hadn't had to change my underwear three times a

day.

To people who have not experienced the community of a list like this one,

it seems really wacko that we could count 700-plus people, most of whom

we have never met in person, as family and friends. But when you share a

common problem, it becomes a common bond as you find solutions

together.

Keep plugging away... there will be ups and downs, but the one thing you

can count on is people who have been there, done that, and are still

pulling themselves out of the pit. Luckily, some of us can see the light

at the end of the tunnel, and can yell back to others that it really does

exist! <grin>
