Guest guest
Hi Sherrie and All, I'm on SSI and not on SSDI simply because I didn't have enough quarters to qualify. I'm single, and also I worked without pay for many years in a volunteer program, not thinking I'd ever get down and incapacitated as I am now. .. ah! the stupidity of youth! Mississippi has SSI/Medicaid pkg. I can't qualify for Medicare until I am 62 at least, and maybe not even then, I don't know. I know that right now, I wouldn't be able to afford the premium for Medicare. And the initials SSI stand for Supplemental Security Income.
