Comparing autism to OCD is like comparing apples to oranges. They have different etiologies. When aspirin was discovered, it was a miracle for many people, just like SCD is. However, aspirin cannot cure all ills and neither can SCD. I think it is very simplistic and cavalier to extrapolate that 'any developmental issues or depression/anxiety and OCD symptoms can be treated with diet'. That's a very general, inaccurate statement. I am someone who has benefited greatly from SCD with my UC and the mother of a child with OCD.

Re: Can the 80:20 rule apply to the SCD Diet?

,I believe OCD can be treated with dietary changes. I am notsuggesting it is 100% cure-able; I am not a doctor and do not knowthat for sure. But certainly any developmental issues ordepression/anxiety and OCD symptoms can be treated with diet. Why doyou think so many parents of autistic kids are doing this diet?
