Guest guest
Hi This is meant to be good http://www.iherb.com/Chelated-Iron-90-Vcaps/11571?at=0 My family takes Ferrous Fumarate 310mg contains 100mg of elemental iron plus 350mcg of folic acid. No one has had any constipation from it and their ages range from 6 to 55. My dad got his ferritin from 26 to 103 in 2 months and that was not taking iron for 5 days. Another way to keep your iron up without taking supps. Is to take a 500mg tab of vit c after lunch and dinner. Do you have any recommendations that would be the equivalent dose of what I am taking at present? I hate that I need to change since I am at a good level but if this iron is not well tolerated in the body then I want to try something a little less harsh, I guess. I don't seem to have any problems with this iron other than constipation but I take 800mg of Magnesium daily and this helps. Even if I am doing well on this iron do you suggest I change and if so what does this type of iron do to the body? I even went back to the STTM site today and the Ferrous Sulfate is recommended there as well which is why I started on this type of iron. Anyway, I do appreciate the comments and if you know of an iron that would be better could you please let me know. My daughter is also taking the same. ---: See what's on at the movies in your area. Guest guest
ASome of htem have even less and what matters is the LEEMENTAL IRON must be 150-200mg daily which is alot of pills but thta is what it takes to raise ferritin. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Hi The actual dose is low but you take 3 or 4 at a time twice a day even if that means taking it during the night. Sky To: RT3_T3 Sent: Sun, 10 January, 2010 11:27:05 PMSubject: Re:BUMP-- Hi Val, sort of a long post....can you please help? I just switched to Nature MAde iron that was a little higher in dose than my last supplement, it has 65mg of elemental iron which say it's equivalent to 325 mg ferrous sulphate. I didn't know this about the sulphate. I haven't had any constipation with it. I was taking 50mg of a different iron for 10 months and the ferritin didn't go up much at all. The Iherb has 27mg, isn't that a bit low per dose?Recent Activity: New Members 24 Visit Your Group Start a New Topic MARKETPLACE Going Green: Your Yahoo!
