Guest guest
I believe ONE of the many causes for Diabetes is low thyroid. Raising my T3 did not raise my glucose you are sipley experiencing progression. Probabyl form insulin reisstance while more hypo. Weak adrenals also predisposes us ot this as it lowers our androgens. When i went back on ESTROGEN I reduced my insulin by 1/3rd. Testosterone also helpe dbut not as dramatically as estrogen did. Chromium helps some people and ALA hads been a HUGE helpto me once I took ENOUGH of it. Itake 300mg wiht 33mg biotin in a slow release form four times a day. This has lowered my insulin by HALF of what I was taking then. WHOLE carbs do not help. I tried steel cut oats and brown rice and ofund FOR ME, thye were just as bad as the usual kinds and I had ot stop them. I watch which veggies I eat liek a hawk, and stay around 70G carbs a day. FATis your friend! It slows digestion so ther is less of a hit fom the carbs oyu do eat when you eat them so fat wiht every meal is important, and lots of it. BION there are carbs even in meats. You won;t read about them often as most people have no clue. But ther eis Arginine in meat thta usually stimulates enough insulin ina type 2 Diabetic to cover the carbs inthe meats. But thye are there! If correcting to a really low carb doesn;t reduce your fastign glucose to low 90's I would recommend Metformin which MANY peopel have no problems with one e their body;s adapt to it as oyu are high risk. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
thanks a lot for your answer, is ALA, & #945;-Linolenic acid? Is it is can it be taken as flax seed oil, for example. I was for a while taking quite a bit of Flax seed oil, but I did't record my fasting glucose levels then... What do you mean by: " T3 did not raise my glucose you are sipley experiencing progression. Probabyl form insulin reisstance while more hypo. " I don't quite understand... monica

Guest guest
Diabetes is progressive. You are seeing the initial damage raised oyurinsulin resistance and now your pancreas cannot keep up. AT first we see nothing while it is starting as though we are becoming insulimn resistant glucose stays noraml as the pancreas puts out more & more inuslin. We do nto see it in glucose readings until the pancreas no linger makes ENOUGH insulin ot counter the insulin resistance. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
