My last rT3 was 0.43 so ANYWAYS going down to 0.35 is a GOOD THING isn't it??? >I didn't write in the nmol/pmol things, but I am sure I don't need to do that for you to get the full picture. A good thing yes, ratio is 18.5 now showing that it's going in the right direction. This ration will get MUCH larger before it clears in the cells though. Guest guest
Yeah I did the ratio myself, and it has become better. But can we calculate the ratio at all when I ingested my T3 before the blood sample? That will create a falsely high FT3 result, making the ratio higher? Yes?Regardless of that.. rT3 itself has gone down from 0.43 to 0.35 which is good anyways.. I'm just thinking.. Will I be able to switch to ERFA Thyroid (the best hypo-medication out there!) when my rT3 clears? And will rT3 come back? If so, why should it? > > >PS! It depends why it was there in the first place. http://thyroid-rt3.com/whatare1.htm To that list you may well be able to add Leptin Resistance as well. If you can locate the cause and cure it then you may well be able to swap back. I tried it and it didn't work for me, Val has tried it unsucessfully too. I have made a decision to stay on T3 only permanently, I have recently given away most of my stash of good Natural to people who needed it and am planning to always have 3 months T3 in stock. Guest guest
But it IS possible to go back to natural/T4 right? Maybe T3-only over time is lessening the chances of going back... Cause when you take Dessicated, you get T0, T1, T2 and calcetonin as well as T4. T3 only is T3 only.I definitely feel some kind of hypo now. Mind is not too uncelar. But the body is heavy and the heart feels weak.Should I worry about increasing T3 too slow like I am doing now? :pPS! I have a phone appointment with my specialist in 1 hour. Anything I should bring up you think? She is not too positive about T3-only sinec I am getting these arrhythmias...T. >That will create a falsely high FT3 result, making the ratio higher? Yes? Guest guest
As for the causes of my rT3 and adrenal fatigue:* Chronically infected tonsils over the past 7-8 years* A MAJOR stress-episode (really traumatic!) in the beginning of 2007 (I got worse in May 2007 and has been ill since!)* Taking synthetic T4 since 1997 till late 2009* Amalgam fillingsHow do I find out if I have leptin resistance? >That will create a falsely high FT3 result, making the ratio higher? The reason some of us stay on T3 ionly is that we feel better that way. > >Should I worry about increasing T3 too slow like I am doing now? It will leave you feeling hypo like you do today. >PS! If you are overweight get a setum Leptin test done. New research says that if the reading is 10 or less you are OK. If the reading is over 10 and you are overweight then you have Leptin resistance. There is research going on about curung that resistance which I am watching with interest. Nick
