Thanks Louise. My meds had been changing so much but now they are somewhat stabilizing. I didn't want to go to a bracelet although I did think maybe an anklet. I've seen some that you can attach to a tennis shoe but what good does that do you when your in heels for the evening. I really had no idea that medical personel would search through the purse so I will make a card similar to what you have and be sure to put that in for any possible future need. I will also notify my Hubby of it's whereabouts and I'm sure he will just smile...LOL. I just hope he remembers. Thanks a bunch!

, I totally hear you with the husband and kids!!!But seriously, what I have done is I have written down a little card in my purse in clear highlighted writing Medical Alert. I have my name, adddress, husband as next of kin with phone number, my doctor and his contact details as well as my medical conditions (thyroidless and adrenal insuffiency) and the medicines (Tertroxin and HC) and dosing schedule with doses. My girlfriend is a nurse at the local hospital and has put this information on my file as well.She tells me that if you wind up unconscious in hospital they go through your purse and your belongings to see if you have any medicines. I think paramedics do too. I haven't gone to a bracelet or necklace yet but am considering.My husband knows its in my purse.CheersLouise>> Just curious with so many people on HC and T3 whether many of you wear or carry some form of medical ID? Something with all of your medications and dosing requirements. It seems to me that these particulars should be known in case of accident. My husband knows that I suffer from Hypo-thyroid and kind of knows about my adrenal insufficiency but most of the time just looks at me and smiles like yeah,yeah,yeah whenever I'm taking temps or meds. My kids too. He knows that I take T3 and Cortisol but he know's nothing about my dose requirements or regimen. What do most people do?? > > Thanks,> >

Thanks Again Louise!! I appreciate all of the info and I KNOW that my husband is listening, even though he shrugs it off with a smile. He loves me too much so I know that he is listening.

Glad to hear that you are cycling....what a great sport. I have friends that cycle and I really admire their dedication. Have fun your week with friends. I know that you will have a blast!

Im sure he will remember . My husband just smiled and nodded but I made sure he was listening and I showed him. Because my nurse friend is also one of his cycling friends I think he realises that it could be serious.I have seen the sports shoe alert tags too and thought about it but when I am doing my cycling I always carry my hand written medical alert information with me too - just as I always take my licence and mobile phone for identification if I have an accident on the road.I am on a journey of getting my meds right so my dosages are changing all the time. That's primarily why I don't have a medic alert bracelet. I just make a new little written Alert for my purse each time. Only takes 5 minutes. I am going away this coming week for a few days with some girl friends to a festival. We had a pre-planning meeting (including a few drinks to get to know each other) and I made it clear to all of them that I have this condition and

that if I were unconscious that my medical alert information was in my wallet. Everyone took it seriously except one person, but Im sure that in any event she would remember.Good luck with it.CheersLouise
