Guest guest
I ahve never heard oif using progesterone to bring up testosterone. DHEA yes, but not progesterone. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Do you mean pregnenolone? This converts to DHEA then testosterone then estrogen. I've never heard of progesterone cream being used to raise T... If my free testosterone is 81 (range 46-224) and bioavailable 158 (range 110 575) I've been told this is may be in the range but it's pretty low and that I might benefit from testosterone. But biochemist friend of mine said that a better way to get it would be to use natural progesterone cream. Also, I have read that prgesterone moight help improve thyroid function too. Can someone give me feedback on this? Thanks Chris
Guest guest
i think in the body progesterone made by the ovaries may convert to testosterone but i do not believe that natural progesterone creams convert the same way.... Guest guest
http://www.instituteofalternativemedicine.com/Hormone-Steroid-Cascade.html Here is how the steroid homrones convert in the body, doesnl;t matter if they are applied in topical creams, injections or home made in your body they all do the same thing. BUT look how many ways progesterone can go. When coritols is an issue and thyroid is messed up the conversons seem to go MOSTLY ot estrogen. This is why I prefer to recommend to take the END hormones oy need and not rely on conversions from prohormones. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
The person that told me this is a natural practitioner with a PhD in Biochemistry from Columbia and is the healthiest 82 year old I've ever seen. Now, that doesn't make his advice right- he could be way off. But i've read that projesterone converts to testosterone and that straight testosterone can lead to exhacerbating tumor growth. 1. If i were to take T, do you know of a cheap good quality source I can get? The cream sounds like a good option. 2. And does the natural stuff from Yams or whatever work? > > http://www.instituteofalternativemedicine.com/Hormone-Steroid-Cascade.html > > Here is how the steroid homrones convert in the body, doesnl;t matter if > they are applied in topical creams, injections or home made in your body > they all do the same thing. Guest guest
If the conversion is so uncontrolled, what do you do when your tests indicate you need progesterone? - due to estrogen dominance. Guest guest
Val- Excuse me if I didn't see your response, but do you know where I can get a good inexpensive source of testosterone. I'm a male and 48. Also I have read that testosterone converts at times to DHT which could lead to hair loss. I'm a little worried about that. Guest guest
The onyl reliable source for testosterone is with a prescriptin. It is a controlled substance so cannpt legally be sold by even overseas pharmacies as thyroid or HC can be. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
