Guest guest
Splitting the dose was a good experience for me! I felt SO much better. Guest guest
Hi all. After having my MTX dose increased by 1/3, and waking up today feeling like my head was full of cement, I too will try breaking up the dose over a 12 hour period. It is totally worth it if it works. As it stands, Saturday's are becoming a " write off " , with me spending the day in bed. > > > > After last week's heart palpitations after taking 17.5 mg of MTX, I > > decided to try splitting the dose within a 12-hour period, as I've > > heard many of you discuss. Guest guest
, You didn't say what your dosage is. I found that when I went from oral intake to injection sub-cutenious(SP). I no longer had any adverse side effects. And the body gets exactly the dosage you take unlike orally were the gut may or may not absork all the medicine. Best wishes, Jay > > > > > > After last week's heart palpitations after taking 17.5 mg of MTX, I > > > decided to try splitting the dose within a 12-hour period, as I've > > > heard many of you discuss. I take five tabs a week and take them all at once on Sunday night. The only side effect I have is that I am a little fuzzy on Monday mornings. I don't drive until after noon. Other than that, no side effects at all.
Guest guest
MTX taken orally goes into and out of your body the same way food does. It is only a matter of hours and it has gone through your stomach, small intestines and into the colon. What and when you ate last affects the amount of MTX the gut absorbs on the way through.
