Guest guest
In a nutshell: I have been on T3 since september. Resistance cleared early december, temps were perfect, and I felt great for a couple of weeks. (In fact I was drafting a success story for the group!) Then bam, I caught the flu. Didn't get really ill with it, but ever since I have had a minor bacterial nasal infection. Not enough to really worry about, but there. I have also had low cortisol symptoms - temps variable and dropping after exercise - even though my issue has always been high cortisol in the past. The adrenal symptoms are slowly getting back to normal, and the nasal issue is very gradually improving, however this morning I have noticed palpable lymph nodes in my neck. Just pea sized, and only on the side of the infection; as far as I can tell only the cervical nodes are affected. They are not painful though there is a slight tenderness in the whole neck area on that side, more like a muscle sprain, in fact I only noticed the lymph nodes because I was rubbing my neck thinking I had slept on it funny. If I see my GP they will no doubt prescribe antibiotics, which I am reluctant to take unless I really need to. A quick google search seems to suggest that unless the nodes are seriously enlarged and/or painful it's simply a sign that the body is successfully fighting an infection. If that is true, will I be ok simply upping my vit C and garlic/echinacea and seeing what happens for a few days, or do you think I should go for the antibiotics ASAP? Wouldn't be able to see a doc until monday anyway. Thanks!

Guest guest
How much D3 are you people taking? And is there any risk what so ever when taking D3to push the calcium over the top? My calcium has gotten higher and is permanently in thetop range or slightly above it these days. I've been at 4000 iu, I now take 3000 iu D3 daily.Last time I checked, my D3 status was at 87. I did not stop taking D3 supplements beforethe blood sample was done. How many days before the test should one stop taking it? Guest guest
>How much D3 are you people taking? 10,000 a day. The equivalent of 30 mins in the sun. How many days before the test should one stop taking it? I would suggest that a couple of days without before testing would be reasonable. Not stopping at all will push the numbers up I'm sure. Guest guest
Thanks foe the link Nick. I've been at the council before. It's a very interesting site!I have read a bit about vitamins and especially D3. It's very, very interesting to read aboutthe importance of vitamins in the body. We're all deficient in one way or the other.Modern diets aren't good. They're killing people. That's why I've decided to change my dietfrom "regular" to something better.I saw my calcium rise to I cut down from 4000 to 3000 iu D3. But adequate D3 onlymakes calcium go where it should go. To the bones and NOT to the arteries. So I guessI need to increase my D3 anyway. The more the merrier. You take 2 x 5.000 iu tablets? What is your D3 status like? I'm starting to think that.. If I only had enough Ferritin,D3, B12 and so on.. Maybe I would be HEALTHY with no thyroid meds at all? Manydiseases come from vitamin deficiencies. >How much D3 are you people taking? 10,000 a day.
