Guest guest
I'm confused about the iron supplements. I was taking a 50mg iron supplement from enzymatic for like 8 months that also had liver factions in it. It was 50mg ferrous succinate. My ferritin did go up from 31 to 47 but it took about 6 months. I recently switched to Nature Made 65mg. It says it is equivalent to 325mg of ferrous sulphate. Some people say that Proferrin ES is the best and raised their ferritin. But that brand says it is 12mg of elemental iron as heme iron polypeptide. How can the Proferrin 12mg raise levels higher than a 65mg one? Am I taking the wrong one? What is the different in these 3 irons? I don't seem to have stomach problems with it when I take it with food. I usually do that because I have esophagitis and hiatus hernia.
