Problems with frozen vegetables

Re/the thread about certain store brands of frozen vegetables causing symptoms:

A while back there was a discussion about this at the original SCD site and it was mentioned that some brands use corn starch when packaging frozen vegetables. I did confirm at the time that neither Green Giant nor Bird's Eye--popular brands in the US do this but a smaller chain I sometimes shop in responded they often did. I'm not sure just what this accomplishes.

This could be a reason that some of you are reacting poorly to certain brands.

Might be helpful to write or call the suspect brand and ask if this is their policy.
