Guest guest
I have a sensitive stomach too, and generally just drink a lot of room- temperature filtered water and one cup of very weak tea per day. I make an electrolyte drink and use it regularly to help with my neuromuscular and metabolic issues. I have modified the SCD electrolyte drink recipe to better suit my stomach; plus I buy E-Lyte and mix it to the strength my stomach will handle. I go through a lot of electrolyte drink [grin]. Here's a link to the SCD electrolyte drink recipe: http://www.scdrecipe.com/recipes-drink/electrolyte-drink/ Don't be afraid to modify it slightly. For example I don't use baking soda or honey because my stomach objects violently. I use magnesium and potassium instead, and cut the salt to about 1/16 tsp. I usually drink very diluted fruit juice about 30 minutes after drinking the electrolyte drink; and if I'm still not recovering from my low- electrolyte symptoms I'll have a few mouthfuls of heavily-salted cooked veggies. My stomach will accept salted food, but not salt in water. If you are interested in E-Lyte, here's a link. I get the green- labeled bottle because it has less salt so my stomach handles it better (and I dilute it more than usual) http://www.crampnomore.com/products/products.html Kim M.
