Carol and all you lovely people,

Your prayers must be working because calmness is working it's way back

into my heart.

I went to Bakersfield and got my two granddaughters 10, and

13. They are going to stay with me the week. This is Monday and we

are watching movies, went shopping and to lunch at " Amigo's " and have been

just generally hanging out. Right now they are watching my new " Ricky

in New York " . It's helping.

Kari is back in Palmdale with her sister Barbara. This tragedy has left

Barbara with 3 kids still at home and a business to try to figure out and

Kari is a real blessing to her.

You are all so wonderful and so supportive with your messages on this

list and on my private emails. I love you all and appreciate every

heartfelt word.

It may seem strange but when I began to sink into depression my first

instinct was to eat, which I did the first day home. Snagging everything in

sight. The next morning I went back to my emails and just reading your dear

messages gave me the determination to put the snacks down. See, you help me

even when you don't realize it.
