Guest guest
So.......... Because I take so little T3, I am not getting ANY T3 into my cells? With sucha low Ferritin (55 without stopping iron supplements before the test, taking 100 mg daily),and taking 150 mg iron daily, what else can I do?Do you have any idea why this extreme sleepiness/tiredness came to me now? It's beengoing on for 2 hours. I am thinking "iron overdose?" - Can a person overdose on iron whenthe Ferritin is low? I had a pretty high serum iron last time I checked it while on 100 mg iron daily.Waht do I do now?Subject: Re: Extreme tiredness/sleepiness hit me now.To: RT3_T3 Date: Thursday, January 14, 2010, 4:58 PM No because every BIT of T4 from your own gland (it is not making T3 JUST T4) is being turned inot MORE RT3 whihc is making what T3 you DO have not able to work. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthet hyroidmadness. com/ http://health. groups.yahoo. com/group/ NaturalThyroidHo rmonesADRENALS/ http://health. groups.yahoo. com/group/ RT3_T3/ http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
This is not iron overdose. it is a symptom of low iron and low T3. TIME oyu are doing what oyu can to get through this but it is slow raising ferritin. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Yeah this is what I'm thinking.. It's just T3 being too low regardless of anything, I amtaking a low dose of 20 mcg daily now. My Ferritin is low too. So.. I have things to fixbefore I feel well. I know this. But thinking about this doesn't help me with my extreme tiredness/sleepiness at themoment. I was fine the other days before this, I haven't had this weakness for months!(Even as far back as before I started taking HC in June 2009 year! I had a "laziness attack"once daily back then!).I heard from my GP right now that a serum iron of 60+ can be very dangerous. Last timei checked my serum iron it was at 30. The range is 5 - 35. I had not taken iron for 12+hours when I checked my iron in at the 30 value. I was at 100 mg iron daily at the time.Maybe I am thinking too much, but, if I now take 150 mg iron daily, can't my serum irongo as high as 60 (or beyond?) making it unsafe for me to take 150 mg iron daily?Oh yeah, and I always take my iron with 1000 mg Vitamin C, and fresh orange juice. For all I know, this can be low cortisol as well. I could try to take those extra 5 mg ofHC now to see if it helps me. Doesn't hurt, right? This is not iron overdose. it is a symptom of low iron and low T3. Guest guest
I take HC like this:107.55.02.5- Could I just take a 2.5 mg stress dose now at 6 pm, in the middle of my second and thirddose? Or do I really need 5.0 mg? 5.0 mg would make my total dose for today 30 mg.The most I ever took was 27.5 mg, but went down to 25 because of headaches. Guest guest
I am still worried about the iron. What if it is too much for My body? I keep looking forcauses when I feel this bad. This is something NEW though - This feeling. I feel like I amloosing contact with my body. I am SUPER lazy and SUPER sleepy, but can't fall asleepto rest. I just feel so bad, I don't know what to do. Any ideas? Maybe skip iron tonight, leaving this days dose at 75 mg.. or? Well this laziness came to me before I took my first75 mg iron, so I don't know. What if my body is starving for T3 now, how can I take more T3 if Ferritin is too low? This is SO hard. This is not iron overdose. it is a symptom of low iron and low T3. TIME oyu are doing what oyu can to get through this but it is slow raising ferritin. I doubt it somehow, not for a VERY long time and after your T3 is back up. Remember to stop iron for 5 DAYS before testing iron levels Nick
