Newbie needs guidance!

Hi Everyone! I am assisting someone with Crohn's to begin the SCD. I have Breaking the Vicious Cycle, Lucy's SCD Cookbook and Cooking to Heal Little Tummies:SCDiet Recipes Kids Will Love. I see the menu for the first few days, but I'm uncertain how to map out appropriate menus to slowly introduce new foods in a balanced nutrition way. Is there a website that contains this or is there someone willing to share their success journey? Also, here's what I understand and please correct me if I'm wrong:

1. A yogurt maker is key to simplifying life. I found the Yogourmet, is this the best option?

2. Can foods be premade, portioned and frozen to be thawed and warmed at a later date?

3. Other juices are allowed as long as they are pure juice with no added sweetener?

I can see how a support system will be key to success. Does anyone know of a group in the Brooklyn/Boro Park area?
