Guest guest
We have almost the same levels Jackie! :pYou need to take iron supplements for sure! I also need to do so.I also wonder what I have to do to bring down my hematokrit, cause mine is even higher than yours. Mine is 3 points higher than the top range! Is it dangerous? I am guessing.. Yes. But I don't know for sure! And I have no idea what's causing my blood to get thicker! Do I need blood thinning meds or what?T. Â My ferritin is 23 and my hematocrit is 43.3 with a range of 34.0 - 44.0. What does this mean? I know I need to raise my ferritn by taking iron, but what do I do to bring down my Hematocrit? Guest guest
I am just guessing but.. I think dehydration will make hematocrit higher.. And when we're lacking salt, the body gets dehydrated.. So the answer is to.. Drink more sea salt, Val???T.Subject: What does Low Ferritin and High Hematocrit mean? To: RT3_T3 Date: Tuesday, January 19, 2010, 10:56 PM Â My ferritin is 23 and my hematocrit is 43.3 with a range of 34.0 - 44.0. Guest guest
Is high hematocrit normal for us AF-people with low aldoseron? Will HC further dry us up? And what is the cure for high hematocrit? Not nice knowing one have thick blood.. I am thinking.. Can the answer be drinking more sea salt? My sodium is already in the top range when drinking 1 tea spoon sea salt daily. T.
Guest guest
With ferritin that low I woudl think the high hematocrit indicates dehydration. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Thanks for your feedback. Yeah, cause plus a high ferritin it could mean something else.. ?T.Subject: Re: What does Low Ferritin and High Hematocrit mean? To: RT3_T3 Date: Wednesday, January 20, 2010, 12:02 AM Â With ferritin that low I woudl think the high hematocrit indicates dehydration. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthet hyroidmadness. com/ http://health. groups.yahoo. com/group/ NaturalThyroidHo rmonesADRENALS/ http://health. groups.yahoo. com/group/ RT3_T3/ http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Right now I don't drink any sea salt. Should I drink sea salt if my sodium is a the top of the range? I drink tons of water all day. > > > Subject: What does Low Ferritin and High Hematocrit mean? > To: RT3_T3 > Date: Tuesday, January 19, 2010, 10:56 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > My ferritin is 23 and my hematocrit is 43.3 with a range of 34.0 - 44.0. Guest guest
I drink sea salt even if my sodium is at the top of the range. I wanna keep it there! I drink 0.25 gallon of salted water (1 tea spoon sea salt) and 0.25 gallon of regular tap water (it's very clean over here in Norway, cleaner than bottled water! lol!) and maybe 0.25 gallon of mineral carbonated water.I think we need the salt to stay hydrated. Less salt means dehydration and then... higher hematocrit. BUT I AM JUST GUESSING HERE. Anyone knows this for sure?Subject: Re: What does Low Ferritin and High Hematocrit mean? To: RT3_T3 Date: Wednesday, January 20, 2010, 12:45 AM  Right now I don't drink any sea salt.
