Then 1 grain plus T3 may be the thing for you

That would be identical in all ways to pure T3.

What you really want to do is remove the T4 and take what is left!

What residual symptoms improve by adding a grain in?

YES! Exactly!

I get a very strange neck tightening that is alleviated with the one grain.

It's very uncomfortable. But the most important symptom is emotional. With

just the T3 I get feelings of hopelessness: " Oh, why bother going on? I

have another 40+ years of this? Can't I just stop now? " (Note: these are

not suicidal thoughts which I experienced years ago when I was given the

depo-provera shot. What a horrific 3 months THAT was!) Add the one grain

and they are gone. Add 2 grains (and reduce T3 to 50 mcg after a week) and

I can conquer the world ... but then I get high RT3 symptoms (a strange

pin-prickling sensation in my legs and tightening in my calves. I've

verified the symptoms as high RT3 with blood tests. No pin-pricks = low

RT3; pin-pricks = high RT3.)

Over the past 2 years, I've taken hydrocortisone (and Isocort), Armour, T3,

DHEA, and testosterone. Being low (or high) in any of those changes the

emotional component. I've been paying close attention and it is

fascinating. Fortunately, I recognize the emotions are directly related to

hormonal levels and don't accept them as truly mine. They will ~ and do ~

go away when the levels are changed.
