Guest guest
Hello, this is my first post, new to this board. I've been on the adrenal fatigue board for 10 months. I would love to post-reply with anyone else who had severe stage 3 adrenal fatigue along with a high reverse T3. I am only on T3 ( 2 mcg. sustained release) and have to start out with extreme caution as even the smallest starting dose caused anxiety for a while and my adrenals are still struggling, even with the best protocal of diet, suppliments, rest, stress reduction. I am under the care of a doctor from one of Dr. Teitelbaum's clinics: Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Clinic. I understand that adrenal fatigue and thyroid function often go hand in hand and in my case, it has been the high levels of cortisol over the years, effecting my T4 from converting properly to T3. Symptoms I still have are chronic muscle weakness, weight gain and inability to loose weight, cold hands and feet, depression, some anxiety, very much 's syndrome. But, these symptoms are a little better than last year, but I know the underlying cause is adrenal related. I am also on 12 mg. of compounded natural hydrocortisone a day in divided doses. This has helped my hypoglycemia, by keeping my blood sugar levels better in tack, as my cortisol levels are otherwise very low and the natural suppliments along just weren't helping. That is when I sought help by doctor that specializes in Chronic fatigue. It's been a very hard year and I still do not have the strength to walk normally or swim like I used too. My muscles are sore too. Thanks for sharing. ine
