Can’t we turn them into the FDA or something?

They say wheat free, then list wheat bran as an ingredient!!!

Frustrated

Okay, friends...I need some help here.

I have previously visited a site that was recommended to me for gluten

free products.

Problem is, they have stuff labeled gluten free that obviously isn't.

I've emailed the company, but have not had a response.

Help? This site was actually recommended by a doctor friend who I'm

afraid might be sending his patients here. I'm afraid someone might

buy something from Diabetic Direct and not realize things are labeled

incorrectly.

For an example, check this out. It's labeled gluten free!

Thx,

I

wonder if this is a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is

doing.  i.e. the packaging does not say “gluten-free”, but the web designer on

auto-pilot sets the web page up without thinking of looking at the packaging.

Could be such is the type of error and the company hasn’t responded to the

graphic  disconnect.

Well spotted, Carla.  I also found that they have a pasta made

from “durum wheat semolina” labeled as GF.  I sent them a note

through their customer service notice, figuring the more people they hear this

from, the likelier they are to move fast on this to pull all their “gluten-free”

products from the site until they have reviewed them all (some didn’t

list the ingredients at all).  I also wonder about their “low carb”

designation on some products as well, but as I don’t know the labeling

laws for that I didn’t bring it up.   If I don’t see an immediate

response I will notify the FDA and all the national celiac groups.  They are

putting people’s health at risk; some people may trust the website’s

labeling and not check the ingredients before eating them.
