Fresh start is a preservative you use when you are canning. Yes, I thought

it would be good when making soap with veggies and fruit.

sorry if it's already been answered. but what is " fresh start " ?

why do your soaps need a preservative? (are you using fresh fruit

or veggies?)

thanks!

Okay, well there is also a laundry detergent called " Fresh Start " . It's

the one that is a soap powder in a bottle. So.. just wanted to now if that

was what you were putting in there LOL

Couldn't figure out why you would want to that. I haven't seen a canning

preservative called Fresh Start, but I have seen one called Fruit Fresh..

which is citric acid and/or ascorbic acid and other misc. ingredients.

Must be because we are in different parts of the country or something.

If you are adding a canning preservative that has citric and/or ascorbic

acid in it, go lightly with it. It is possible to add too much citric acid

or ascorbic acid and lower the pH of soap enough to make it separate.

Yuck! I did this as an experiment once. When it separates it looks like

you end up with oil and water again (I think.. all though I may be wrong..

but whatever it is.. it's nasty.. and I threw it away). Of course, I did

add quite a bit to make it do that.

Hello, I have been reading along here for the past month or so

thinking my daughter might not need to do this program. That concept

has changed and I am ready to try anything to help her get her teenage

life back and help her to put her Crohns into remission.

Immediate needs are lunch ideas for school and a recommendation for

which yogurt maker you like the best.

We've had a rough few days and reading along has helped me to maintain

some sense of sanity.

Thank-you,

Gail
