Guest guest
I finally got my saliva cortisol results that I have been trying to get done for 2 months - 2 times the lab screwed up the vials and on the third, we finally got results. A bit of history - hypo for 27 years, on Synthroid 26 years, am now on Armour. Past year, have been on 90mg but did try to raise to 105mg a couple of months ago but was unsuccessful due to heart issues (PVCs). Once I backed down to 90mg again, I feel better although I know any thyroid labs will be off because they were off before I started the 105mg (basically I was low T4). Past post comments felt that I was Reverse T3 and low ferritin - do not have new results to see how the issues are right now. Earlier comments suggested that I get the saliva cortisol performed - so now I have. On the saliva cortisol issues, below are my results. I know nothing about cortisol so opinions are appreciated: 7:00 - 9:00 AM reading: 371 (range 100 to 750) 3:00 - 5:00 PM reading: 90 (range 20 to 400) 11:00 PM to midnight reading: 56 (range below 100) Additional info, if needed: my morning temp is fine at a constant 98.2 degrees (before getting out of bed); BP has risen during these winter months - that has been my standard for the past 2 years - good readings in Spring/Summer/Fall but high readings during the Winter (maybe it is being cooped up during this weather because yesterday when I got outside in the sunshine, my BP was excellent); some fatigue - worse some days, okay other days; I sleep well at night without problems. Thanks.
