Guest guest
It usually means your cortisol is too low to acommodate the t3 you've just taken. BUT you are already on so much HC, I cannot advise you to take more. Hopefully Val or Nick will chime in here, but if you need this much HC to tolerate t3, I would seriously start looking for some other issues going on, especially if you are feeling hot, unwell, etc. This is exactly what happend to me last year and I couldn't understand either why I needed SO much hc (50 to 70) to tolerate t3. Well, turned out I had mono and didn't even know it! Since then, it's been struggle to get the viruses in check but once I started to work on that, it's still not pefect, but I don't need mega doses of HC anymore and have started the t3 again without so many problems. It tends to mean low cortisol at that time of day Nick
Guest guest
so should I increase my HC even MORE? I'm already taking 10 mg every two hours or so. \ To: RT3_T3 Sent: Wed, January 20, 2010 1:40:02 PMSubject: Re: Nick, Val: sad, confused, lower temps after t3 >I took my t3 dose of 10 mcg (this has been my usual dose for past week at least),>>checked temp a half hour later and it went down to 97.6.>>Can you explain again, please if you don't mind, what does it mean when temps go down after taking t3?http://thyroid-rt3.com/temperat.htmTalks about that and lots of other things. It tends to mean low cortisol at that time of dayNick
Guest guest
, that's very interesting what you wrote. I'm not sure I can ever take t4 because it just converts to rt3. In fact, I make plenty of t4 naturally, but it won't convert! At any rate, given what you said below, what do you think of the sustained release t3? I know most don't like it here and even I am not sure about it, but it is really a pain to take the cynomel in such tiny doses many times a day. Then again, I have to take the HC 4 times a day anyway. How many times do you dose? Thanks, Kathleen > > > > > > I feel like crying; what is the matter here: > > > > > > I did as Nick suggested, or maybe Val, can't recall (when t3 is optimized > > i will remember EVERYTHING, lol) > > > > > > Temps at 12 was 98.0 (I feel feverish and run down, so this might be a > > high temp for me, though don't know for sure) > > > > > > I took my t3 dose of 10 mcg (this has been my usual dose for past week at > > least), > > > > > > checked temp a half hour later and it went down to 97.6. > > > > > > Can you explain again, please if you don't mind, what does it mean when > > temps go down after taking t3? > > > > > > thanks so much! > > > > > >
Guest guest
Oh, you know, I think I remember now -- us talking about having to dose every 2 hours. I think you're right about T3 does speed everything up. When I was just taking Iscort and then HC by itself, I only dosed 3 times a day, 4 hours apart. I'm worried about trying to get the dosing right on sr t3. I'm having enough issues as it is right now! But I guess what's the point if I have to take the HC every 3 hours anyway. ;-) Kathleen > > > , that's very interesting what you wrote.
