I have had good luck with the Gallium thermometers. I bought mine at CVS and I think Walmart has them as well.

I've just broken my thermometer. Luckily it was inside something so there is no bio-hazard mess. I am having a hard time finding a new mercury thermometer. Anybody got any ideas? What about a Gallium filled thermometer I have seen for sale on Amazon? Is it as accurate? MacG.

I have just bought one. It gave me a rather disappointing temperature! I shall see how I get on tomorrow. Impossible to find a mercury thermometer.

I have a thermometer that doesn't contain mercury, but it looks just like a

mercury thermometer. It seems to more accurate than the digital thought I still

use the digital and know that it can be a few degrees lower.

I bought it at Walgreens. You need to leave it in your mouth for oral temps for

at least 5 minutes or more.
