Help! I've broken my thermometer

I've just broken my thermometer.  Luckily it was inside something so there is no

bio-hazard mess.  I am having a hard time finding a new mercury thermometer. 

Anybody got any ideas?  What about a Gallium filled thermometer I have seen for

sale on Amazon?  Is it as accurate?
