re Slow Release t3 BID

I know this group prefers cytomel spread out over the day, but I have been

taking Slow Release t3 for several months and am quite comfortable with it. I

only once did not do well with it, when I was trying to determine the dose and

went too high. My metabolism went into overdrive. That is when I actuall saw

residual t3 pill in my stool.

I started the SRt3 doing a test drive with the protocol, but after one

month decided I am not comfortable with it for various reasons, but I did

discover that I LOVE t3! I was on Armour for yrs until my doctor decided I was

overmedicated and cut me back and the problems started.

The question I have is I am trying to find my sweet spot with the SRt3. I have

been dosing twice a day (7AM and 7PM) and find that 60mcg BID works well for me.

I can usually feel around 6:30PM that I am ready for my next dose. Is there

anyone else who is doing something like this? Would I need an equal dose in the

evening or could it conceivably lower? I do not seem to have any problem with

that dose. I sleep just fine and have no hand pains when I wake up.

Would appreciate hearing what other people have experienced with SRt3 in regards

to dosing.

Hello,

I've taken SR in the past and for me, it doesn't last any longer than 8 hours,

so I was taking it 3 times a day, in spite of what the pharmacists try to tell

you. But twice a day may be just fine for you. Many people only take it once a

day, which wouldn't work for me at all! It might be you feel it run out because

it doesn't last long enough or you maybe just need to try adding the increase to

your AM dose. I don't think you would HAVE to make the doses equal; as with

everything else here, it is sometimes just trial and error. :-)
