She never regained any consciousness, and the hospital were saying she was going to go at any moment from the first night onwards, so it's been a bit stressful waiting for it to happen, knowing that it *was* going to happen. Not to mention that I was desperately worried about my Mum, who's been at the hospital almost continually (including every night) for a week, and I wasn't able to do anything to help, what with two small children and dh being away. My Dad rang to tell me late this afternoon - he wouldn't let Mum do it as he didn't want us upsetting each other again, as when that happened last Friday I went rushing up there.
